Pear or Apple and Almond Pudding
6 large fruits
2 cups of bread crumbs
1/2 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup raw sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
grated rind of one lemon
1/4 cup water
a little butter, opt.
Instructions:
sprinkle with 2 tbsp of the bread crumbs.
Peel, core and slice the fruit and place a layer Lightly butter or oil a small, covered casserole dish and in the bottom of
the dish, using about 1/2 of the fruit. Mix together the raisins, almonds, sugar, lemon and cinnamon and place 1/2 this mixture over the apples. Sprinkle with 1/3 the breadcrumbs, dot with butter and repeat, ending up with a layer of breadcrumbs on the top.
Pour in the water and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 min. covered or until bubbly, and then for 15 min more uncovered.
