Thank you so much for your interest in displaying your artwork at the Kootenay Co-op!
Please take some time to read our display agreement before submitting your work.
Display Agreement
- The Co-op provides picture rails, hanging hooks, and wires for your art.
- Art pieces remain on display for a 1-month period and are set up and picked up by the artist at a date predetermined by the Co-op team.
- Co-op staff members direct all art sales to the artist and no commission is taken by the Co-op.
- A bio or artist statement with the artist’s contact info must accompany the art installation and be posted on the wall near the artwork.
- All walls need to be covered with some artwork. No walls can be left un-adorned.
- Artwork that is sold/removed throughout the month must be replaced with another piece upon removal of the sold piece.
- If any artwork sells and remains in the café, please write “SOLD” on the description card.
- Every item must have a matching sign (max. 3”5”) including the name of the piece, the artist’s name, and the price. If the piece is not for sale, please write “NFS”.
- Any artwork chosen for display will be hanging in a busy public eating area with minimal supervision for theft or vandalism. The Kootenay Co-op assumes no liability for theft or damages to work being displayed.
