Holiday Giving 2025
Magic happens when community bands together! Without the partnership, dedication and continued support of some incredible organizations and suppliers in our community, our Holiday Giving Program could not function.
Because of this program, we can support those of us in the community who need it most during the holiday season.
This year our Holiday Giving Program was able to donate over $20,000 in food and wellness items to various organizations in our area.
We were able to donate Satsumas, Lettuce, Potatoes, Onions, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, and Brussels Sprouts from our Produce Department. Gluten-Free Stuffing, Gluten-Free Crackers, Vegetarian Gravy, Chocolate Covered Nuts, Sweets, Vegan Dessert, Hot Chocolate, Tea, Apple Juice, Tofu, Oat Milk, Canned Soup, Canned Tuna, Olive Oil were donated by our Grocery Department. Our Wellness Department donated Vitamin C and Multivitamins and Children’s Vitamin C, D, liquid D, Iron gummies and Multivitamins.
Our Holiday Giving efforts wouldn’t be possible without our members and the generosity of our suppliers who provide us with donations and discounts on items – Natural Factors, Organika, Horizon, UNFI and Discovery Organics were just a few of the suppliers who came together to support our program.
This years donations went to Aimee Beaulieu Transition House, ANKORS, Kaslo Food Hub, Kootenay Kids, Nelson Community Food Centre, and W.E. Graham Community Services Society.
Our deepest gratitude goes to all of those involved in making the magic happen. This really is a wonderfully caring and loving community!
Aimee Beaulieu Transition House provides emergency safe shelter and support for self identifying women and children leaving domestic violence and abuse.
ANKORS is a dedicated non-profit organization providing essential services such as overdose reversal sites, harm reduction supplies, LGBTQIA2S+ support, and social services.

The Nelson Community Food Centre, strives to create a welcoming environment where people can access healthy food, join a cooking or gardening program, and be a part of a community centered on nutritious food and fun social activities.
