Saving in bulk is easy
Bring your own container and save an extra 10%! Bulk shopping is better when you bring your own container — just bring clean, food-safe containers like jars, cloth or mesh bags, or silicone pouches, and fill up on your favourite bulk items. It’s an easy way to reduce waste, save money, and keep single-use packaging out of the landfill.

frequently asked questions:
Do I still save 10% if the product is already on sale?
YES – if you bring your own container you will always get your extra 10% off!
How does the discount apply?
When you go through the tills our helpful cashiers will ask you if it’s your container – and if it is they will apply the discount! And feel free to let them know you are reusing your container when you are unpacking your cart.
What if I don’t bring my own container?
You can still shop for all your favourite products, however we will be charging $0.10 for each plastic bag used in the bulk department.
Why are we charging for plastic bags?
By adding extra incentives to bringing your own containers, we hope that remembering to bring your bulk containers on your shop will become second-nature, just like bringing your own bags.
Is the Co-op profiting from the plastic bag charge?
Nope! The charge on the plastic bags will be reinvested back into the BYOC + Save program so we can offer a discount for bringing your own container and to cover the cost of the bags themselves.
What kind of containers can I use?
Jars, cloth bags, mesh bags, silicone bags – anything that is clean and food safe. You can also find some great reusable bulk container options in the bulk department to get you started.
Will you offer more bulk products?
We are always exploring more products to bring into bulk. Products need to come in large enough sizes for it to make sense. We won’t be pouring small bottles into a big bin!
