Familiar Face, New Role 🌱
We’re happy to share that Amanda Verigin will be stepping into the role of General Manager of your Kootenay Co-op, effective September 1st.
Amanda’s journey to this role started over two years ago, when your Board of Directors began searching for a leader who truly understood what makes our Co-op unique. After a wide search, the Board recognized that person was already a part of our team. Amanda, then our Marketing Director, stood out for her commitment to our cooperative values, passion for community, and deep Kootenay roots.
Since being named GM succession candidate, Amanda has spent the past several months preparing for this transition, working closely with our Interim General Managers, Ashley Elliott and Sean Silverson, who have guided your Co-op with care during this period.
