Meet Your New Store Manager!

We are excited to welcome Dirk Gibbs to your Co-op team as the new Store Manager.

Dirk comes to us from Vancouver with a strong background in retail, grocery, and co-ops. Dirk’s early career includes 12 years at Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) where he grew from the frontline to events coordination to the management role of Learning Coordinator. At the same time his entrepreneurial pursuits involved growing microgreens from composted recycled food waste. From there he moved into management positions with Net Zero Waste, Choices Markets and most recently, the Parthenon Market in Kitsilano.

When Dirk is off you can find him tending to his garden, cooking meals for friends + family, enjoying nature on foot, by bike or on skis, or maybe on his porch taking in a beautiful Kootenay sunset.
