“The Co-op is an employer of choice, staffed by motivated people”

One of the top priorities for the Co-op regarding staff is maintaining a pathway to a living wage. Because of this focus , many of our staff are able to build a life here in the Nelson area. As a result of this focus, we have higher staff retention than the industry average. Staff have access to great health benefits which cover many different modalities and services, helping them with work and play. Advancement opportunities are available to people within their departments as well as moving into different roles throughout the store.

One of the top valued priorities mentioned by staff is the strong sense of community and friendship that they have developed within the store.  Many people work here because of their shared values and belief in the Co-op difference.

Such an awesome opportunity for people young and old with a myriad of skillsets!
