Nelson Civic Theatre Society is your Organization of the Month this January. The NCTS is a non-profit cultural media arts centre devoted to presenting and promoting film as a cultural and economic force in our society; advancing education about film and digital media; and, through the power of technology, offering our city and region a greater role to play in a global community. Show your support this month and make a donation. Make sure to update your membership if you haven’t yet!

NCTS runs The Civic Theatre – a cinema-primary venue has been a key community gathering place for more than 80 years, and home to year-round film screenings, community rentals, and signature events for all ages. They have a vision to build on this history of local use by thoughtfully improving our historic auditorium to meet the needs of the present and our future growth. Today, they are facing critical challenges with the recently-discovered issues with their roof. Until more theatres are added in 2024, donor support will be essential to keeping NCTS above water.
