Happy 47th Birthday!

Your Co-op turned 47 on June 24 2022! It’s astonishing to think that it had been 47 years since a small group of friends in the valley started a buying club to be able to cooperatively purchase their food. That group has grown over the decades, as has the home and team responsible for maintaining that original vision. A lot has changed over the years, but one thing that remains constant is the passion and commitment to celebrating the diversity and needs of our community.

We are so honoured to be carrying the torch in 2022, during a time in which our decisions at the tills seem more like a vote towards a more sustainable and locally-focused future. So here’s to all of those Co-op pioneers who got us started back in 1975 and to the members and staff whose support, hard work and commitment to supporting local brought us to this happy day. We look forward to many more years of being your community-owned grocery store.
