Community Giving: Organization of the Month

Slocan River Streamkeepers is a non-profit society working towards protection + restoration of streams and riparian zones including wetlands on the Slocan River. Their goal is to improve public knowledge on these ecosystems through education, outreach, restoration, enhancement, monitoring, and research.

Their efforts so far have included:

  • 2 fish habitat enhancement projects
  • 2 wetland restoration projects
  • 6 wetland enhancement projects
  • Installing 150 bird nesting boxes
  • Installing 16 bat boxes

You can support this important group by donating at the tills on your shop throughout the month of July 2022.
