How would you describe your company?
Our company is based on the need for transformation of what can be found on all of our grocery store shelves to make healthy eating more easily accessible to everyone.
We live an active lifestyle tucked away in our small mountain town – a lifestyle where nourishment and convenience are often at odds with one another.
Rifling through local store shelves in search of foods that aren’t filled with artificial flavours, chemical ingredients, excessive sugar, and other modifiers was fruitless. Overwhelmingly, we found that others in our community (and beyond!) had also grown sick of the household pantry options, but felt helpless due to the necessity of convenience.
So, we began cooking—from scratch—basic pantry items to feed and nourish our community.
Our dedicated gluten-free facility uses handmade techniques to transform simple ingredients into nutrient-dense foods. Everything we create is manufactured in small batches to ensure the highest quality product we can produce. By hand-selecting ingredients and minimal processing, we are making food that is truly good for the body.
After all…we are what we eat!
How long have you been in business?
What motivated you to start?
The need for healthy whole food & plant-based convenience foods made simply with overall wellness is at the forefront of our mission. One of our founders struggled with food sensitivities and therefore set out to make reinvent the foods she missed so dearly in her diet. Such as sourdough Bread, and granola bars without chemical additives.
What are some of your greatest joys?
Hearing from customers with food allergies and intolerance’s that our products are now a staple in their diet!
What are some of your greatest challenges?
Our challenges are production-related as a small producer keeping up with demand is difficult but at the same time a great problem to working towards a solution for.
What is your vision for your company?
We are looking to Reinvent the Modern Home Pantry and replace overly manufactured foods with simply made whole food pantry staples. We are working to make it more convenient to eat healthy and enjoy every bite along the way. As we grow and offer more whole food products we look forward to becoming a brand built on trust and values so that customers know that we put great care into our products and the love that goes into making all of them.
Why is local food and/or local purchasing important to you?
It’s incredibly important to us because with our community’s support we have been able to grow and make more healthy food available to more people. If we want to see a change in the world around us, it’s critical to support the efforts first here in our local communities!
If you could deliver a message directly to Co-op members/customers, what would it be?
A simple Thanks. For your support and encouragement as we grow our production. We wouldn’t be here without all of you.
